Wine Stories – A little Sip of Italy

This might just be one of the most unique books on wine you've ever read.... Come spend a year in Italy living "la Dolce Vita" with a young woman who "dreamed of Tuscany, and Italy, as other children dreamed of Disneyland." Yes, there is a great deal of information on wine, about 40 different Italian wines, to be exact, with descriptions, tasting notes and extensive food pairings–even some recipes. Travel with her around Italy, described in such beautiful detail, that you, too, will be smelling the pine and lavender scented sea breezes in Puglia, and the lemon winds of Lake Garda. And because every wine has a story to tell, it's also a story book–sometimes a page out of history, sometimes a page out of a romance novel, sometimes a page out of the young woman's diary...

Caution–Reading this book will make you want to drink good Italian wine, eat good Italian food, travel around Italy, and perhaps, indulge in some romantic and sensual pleasures (hēdonḗ) along the way.

About Elizabeth Calhoun (Knoxville, Tennessee Author)

Elizabeth Calhoun

Elizabeth Calhoun is a self-professed foodie and wine lover, with "itchy feet" that have taken her to many countries, both for work and pleasure. After a long career of research, analysis, and writing reports, regulations, and training materials, she has finally retired to rural Tennessee with her husband, a large Italian Mastiff, a small ginger cat, and four horses.

When she's not enjoying those pleasures, she indulges in writing for herself and her friends. Her first book, "Wine Stories: A Little Sip of Italy" was published in December of 2016. It recently won the 6th Annual Beverly Hills Book Award in the "Wine Books" category. Several more books are "in progress."
