During Fred J. Klein’s 30 years as a sales engineer selling scientific instruments throughout North America, funny things always seemed to happen around him. He incorporated many of those on-the-job experiences in his humorous novel, Memoirs of a Road Warrior.

The story is set in New York City during the corporate-raider mentality of the 1980s. Andrew Livingston, a naïve college graduate, gets a job as a sales engineer for a high-tech company. The story follows Andrew and the company’s eccentric CEO as they encounter Chinese agents, horse trailers, rocket fuel disasters, conmen, bedbugs, and airplane crashes.

Fred J. Klein is also a private pilot and a drummer in a band. Presently, he and his wife live in Irvine, California.
