About Ann Taylor (Corrales, New Mexico Author)

Ann Taylor

Ann Taylor moved to Corrales in 1979 from a ranch in southeastern New Mexico with her husband, A.C. and daughters, Marissa and Ashlee. From the very beginning Ann became active in the village attending Village Council meetings and Planning and Zoning Commission meetings. Soon she was president of a 200 member group called Corrales United which promoted and protected village traditions and ordinances. From there Ann became a board member of Corrales MainStreet and served as president as well as chairman of the Economic Development Committee. In 2008 Ann received the MainStreet Leadership Award from Governor Bill Richardson.

Always interested in all aspects of Corrales Ann has been a member of the Corrales Historical Society serving as a Docent and member of the board as well as a docent at Casa San Ysidro Museum. Promoting Village events has been a priority; so Ann has served on the Starry Night , Quilt & Wine , Corrales Garden Tour and Harvest Festival Committees. As a patron of the arts Ann serves on the Corrales Art Center Board. Because of her love for Corrales and desire to share it with the rest of the world Ann wrote La Vida Corralena, a guidebook to life in Corrales.
