Cheyenne’s mother is never returning home. And it’s all her fault. If only she hadn’t said all those horrible things to her…and now it’s too late to take them back. Years later, when rebellious teen mischief places her into trouble with the law, Cheyenne’s great aunt sends her to stay with black sheep Aunt Fran. Despite being told it’s for her best interest, Cheyenne feels abandoned. Again.
To make matters worse, Aunt Fran lives in a hidden community of criminals. A land of lost and broken souls. A secluded society with secrets, traitors, and a handsome but cocky guy named Justin who gets away with murder. Actual murder.
And he has his eye on Cheyenne.
As Aunt Fran’s childhood stories piece together a revenge-speckled past with Cheyenne’s mother, she learns that people aren’t always who they appear to be. And freedom always has a cost.
