Bootleggers in Paradise, is the story of a family in the placid fishing village of Erieau, on the Canadian side of Lake Erie. The family is in the boat and bait business, which does well in the summer, but not well enough to keep them through the winter. To take care of the shortfall, they run booze and Cuban cigars across the lake to the states and bring back cigarettes.

The family has done this since the prohibition years. It’s routine to them, with the same people supplying the liquor in Canada and the same people buying it in the U.S. Change comes when their long lost cousin shows up from the states and there become questions about family loyalties and dealings with the law.
