About Neely Powell (The Villages, Florida Author)
Leigh Neely and Jan Powell have been friends for...many years. Both are career writers, and they grew up wanting to write books. When they met while working at the same radio station, they learned both wanted to write romance novels. That led to organizing a local writer's group and years of individual writing. Jan published 25 romance novels while Leigh turned her skills to writing and editing magazines and newspapers. The friendship continued though Leigh has moved eight times. They finally came together in their writing with an urban fantasy, TRUE NATURE, which came out in 2013. Since then, Jan and Leigh have been writing, and AWAKENING MAGIC is available at Amazon and TWRP! HAUNTING MAGIC will be out later this year!
About Leigh Neely (Co-Author)
Leigh Neely began writing as a newspaper reporter for a paper so small she did interviews and wrote articles, sold ads, pasted up the paper (look that one up!), and then dispensed it to the post office and various locations around town.
She eventually moved up to magazines and is now managing editor of two Central Florida publications.
However, her dream and her passion was to write fiction. She has sold two short stories to Sisters in Crime anthologies and had published two books with her writing partner, Jan Powell.
About Jan Powell (Co-Author)
After graduating from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's in communication, Jan began working for a local radio station as creative director, overseeing writing, producing, and scheduling ads. She moved from that into public relations before she began writing fiction, selling 25 Harlequin and Silhouette romance novels. When she returned to corporate communications, she still longed to write fiction. That's when she and her best friend teamed up to create Neely Powell, and they are working on their fourth book together.
