Ernest Gordon Taulbee was born in a small town in Eastern Kentucky, but has lived his adult life in Louisville, since completing college. He holds a BA and an MA in English from Eastern Kentucky University.

Love of reading and writing have been a theme in his life, as well as an overall appreciation of art. He seeks for his prose to be both poetic and musical.
